Claude DES ROSIERS

Born in Montreal in 1958. As a teenager, sculpting was a natural drive that he mastered.

The late 1970s led him through the United States, Latin America and western Canada where he meets jeweler craftsmen and sculptors with whom he will exchange techniques and perfect his art. With thoroughness and perseverance he continues this adventure for ten years during which he uses amber, bone or coral to make jewelry from miniature sculptures. From 1991 to 1994 he perfected himself in the direct carving on stone at the University of Quebec in Trois-Rivières, then his hands quickly look for larger and larger stones, it is a call to challenge.

Since 2009 he has been working on transfering into the bronze some of his stone carvings. His personal approach is influenced by the environment, animal life and the human tragedies that take place around the world.
